Ramallah: During a raid in the occupied West Bank on Monday, Israeli forces killed a Palestinian man. According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, Suleiman Awad, 20, was "killed by the (Israeli) occupation bullets, in Aqabat Jaber camp," close to the city of Jericho.

Jihad The Israeli military was reportedly holding Awad's body, according to Abu Al-Assal, the governor of Jericho. According to sources, three additional people were hurt during the raid.

Awad was a member of the Fatah movement, which claimed that "occupation's continued crimes against our people indicate an Israeli tendency to escalate violence against the Palestinians."

Rawhi Fattouh, the leader of the Palestinian National Council, claimed that the Israeli army's "field execution" crime was motivated by orders from "the political echelons of the right-wing criminal government."

He continued, calling the killings, assaults on holy sites, daily incursions into Palestinian territory, arrests, and operation of military checkpoints during the Eid holiday a "racist and fascist method that will only increase our people's insistence on steadfastness and resistance to thwart the occupation's racist plans."

The Israeli military blockade of city entrances and restrictions on Palestinians' freedom of movement were denounced by the Palestinian Foreign Ministry as "collective punishment against citizens, including children, women, the elderly, and the disabled."

On Monday, the Israeli occupation of Jericho and its camps in the eastern West Bank entered its third day. Israeli authorities, according to the foreign ministry, "turn holidays and events into tragedies for Palestinian citizens." Additionally, it stated that Israelis were abusing Palestinians' human rights so they could enjoy their freedoms, security, and free time.

Since the beginning of the year, the Israeli army has killed at least 99 Palestinians in the occupied territories.

According to Palestinian sources, the Israeli army detained men in the northern West Bank cities of Nablus, Bethlehem, Hebron, Jericho, and Jenin during the Monday raids. Six of the men were taken into custody.

After a ten-day break, dozens of Israeli settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque courtyards on Monday while being protected by Israeli police. Israeli police broke into the mosque's Gate of Mercy chapel and cut its power supply, preventing Al-Aqsa guards from entering. Seized items included fans, lights, cables, and loudspeakers. Israeli police broke into Bab Al-Rahma Chapel on Saturday and vandalised it similarly.

The attacks and what it referred to as intentional Israeli sabotage of the upkeep and restoration work at Al-Aqsa were denounced by the Council of Waqf, Islamic Affairs, and Holy Sites in Jerusalem. In February 2019, the Bab Al-Rahma chapel reopened after 16 years of closure and the suspension of its prayers by Israeli military authorities.

Following the raising of Israeli flags on the roof and walls of the Ibrahimi Mosque, south of Jerusalem, by groups of extremist settlers, Palestinian officials vented their rage. For many years, Palestinians have charged Israelis with attempting to Jewishize the holy site and warned that this could set off a dangerous escalation that could send the region into a spiral of violence.

The West Bank and Gaza Strip will be completely closed off beginning Monday evening and continuing through Wednesday, April 26, when Israel celebrates its 75th anniversary of founding.

According to Palestinian political analyst Riyad Qadriya, the massive provocations by the Israeli military might provoke a violent response from the Palestinians.

In another incident, a car in Jerusalem struck a crowd and struck three people, according to the police. According to officials, one of them, a 50-year-old, was unconscious and in critical condition. According to their account, the car's driver was a "suspect" who was "neutralised on the spot."
