In Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh a soldier continued to feed a young woman's life by assuring her to marry while serving the country and now refused to marry her. According to Tahrir received from the girl, police registered a FIR under sections of cheating and rape against four persons including the accused jawan. Police said that the victim has filed a petition. Police have investigated the case and found Soldier Prakash Singh guilty.

Based on the petition of the victim, a case under Section 420,376 has been registered against Raghuveer Prasad, Ashok Singh and Jagdish Prasad besides criminal Prakash Singh. According to Jehanabad police, the girl from Kotwali Jehanabad area has said in a petition that Prakash Singh, a resident of Village Bhesia Thana Shishgarh in District Bareilly, had contacted Prakash Singh through phone a few years ago between his 12th standard studies at Kanya Pathshala in Kaswa Bhud in District Bareilly. Prakash Singh is an Army jawan in Jammu and Kashmir. The complaint letter says, "Fauji Prakash Singh sometimes lured her to different places and physically abused her by pretending to get married.

It came to know that she was being married elsewhere. The victim then complained to helpline 112 police. A written decision was submitted by Prakash Singh and his family members at Banjaria chowki in Bareilly district. The agreement said he would soon marry the victim in any case. The victim alleged that Prakash Singh is not married even after the agreement.
