A kabaddi player was shot dead in Punjab's Jalandhar on Monday evening. Unidentified miscreants have committed this crime during a kabaddi tournament. In fact, international kabaddi player Sandeep Nangal Ambia was shot after a stampede broke out at the offence site. On receiving the information, a large number of police forces have reached the spot.Â
According to reports, amidst a match of the Kabaddi tournament being played at the stadium on Monday evening, suddenly indiscriminate firing has started. Sandeep Nangal Ambia, a player in the kabaddi team, was hit by several bullets in the firing. Seeing this caused a stampede among the spectators. Before anyone could understand anything, the firing miscreants managed to escape from the spot.Â
At the same time, the people present at the spot took the injured player in a four-wheeler and took him to the hospital. However, due to excessive bleeding, he lost his life on the way. On receiving the information, police teams reached the spot and the hospital. To prevent the situation in the area from deteriorating, a heavy police force has been deployed by the top police officials.
