New Delhi: Lakshya Sen, who won the Belgium Open last month, created a sensational performance and made it to the men's singles semi-finals of the Dutch Open Super 100 tournament. This is achieved by defeating India's rising badminton player BM Rahul Bhardwaj. Sen defeated Bhardwaj 21-9 21-16 in 37 minutes. Asian Junior Champion Youth Olympic Games silver and World Junior Championship bronze medalist will now face Felix Burstet of Sweden.

Lakshya gained a 6–0 lead in the first game, after which he took an 11–3 lead until the break. He completely dominated and gained an 18-8 lead after which his opponents could not return. In the second game, Rahul got a 4–2 lead but he could not sustain it for much longer. By break time, Lakshya took an 11-6 lead. After this, Rahul tried very hard to come back but he could not succeed. Lakshya also won the match with another game from 21-16. Lakshya Sen and BM Rahul Bhardwaj had secured their place in the quarter-finals of the men's singles in the Dutch Open Super 100 Badminton Tournament on Thursday.
