Sprinter Dutee Chand has finally sprinted into Rio Olympics 2016. The national 100m champion from Odisha clocked 11:30 seconds to win the 100m at an international event in Almaty and make the qualifying standard set for the Summer Games.

On Saturday, qualifying mark of Rio Olympics at the 26th G. Kosanov Memorial meet in Kazakhstan has been achieved by Dutee Chand.

Chand clocked 11.30s in the 100m heats, beating the qualifying mark of 11.32 secs.

The 20-year-old Dutee Chand is the current national 100m champion. She is one of four daughters born to the poor weaver couple.
