Brendan Fraser's night at the 79th Venice International Film Festival was without a doubt! After receiving a well-deserved 6-minute standing ovation for his moving depiction of a 600-pound gay father attempting to rekindle his relationship with his teenage daughter (Sadie Sink) in Darren Aronofsky's psychological thriller film The Whale, the 53-year-old actor couldn't help but shed happy tears.
On Twitter, Dwayne Johnson, who incidentally made his Hollywood debut with The Mummy Returns back in 2001, is expressing his warm support for Brendan Fraser. Sharing his happiness for his beloved co-star's "hero" moment at Venice Film Festival 2022, The Rock tweeted, "Man this makes me so happy to see this beautiful ovation for Brendan." Dwayne also appreciated Brendan's significant role in helping him launch his film career: "He supported me coming into his Mummy Returns franchise for my first ever role, which kicked off my Hollywood career."

On the other side, Dwayne Johnson's subsequent film, Black Adam, is scheduled to come out on October 21.
