When pension came on a monthly basis, Chidaiya Devi used to distribute it equally between elder son Shailendra and younger son Santosh. But, Santosh used to talk about giving him the full pension. Due to this, there was a fight between mother and son many times.

Last Friday also there was a fight regarding this. Enraged, Santosh killed his mother Chidiya Deva by slitting her throat with a sharp weapon and fled from the spot. Along with this, it is also being told that the deceased mother Chidaiya Devi had given some of her lands to her elder son Shailendra and two daughters. Santosh did not like this thing. He was angry about this too. On receiving the news of the incident, the police reached the spot and sent the dead body of the woman to Marchuri for postmortem. Giving news on the matter, SP Rajesh Kumar has said that the criminal has killed his mother for the pension he was getting from the provident fund. The criminal has killed his father 10 years ago. He also went to jail after being convicted in the case.
