Gorakhpur: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday took aim at the opposition parties, claiming that the Gorakhpur fertiliser industry had been closed since 1990 and that only the BJP administration had the bravery to reopen it in 2014. Previously, the government has overlooked Gorakhpur's needs.

"The fertiliser factory was closed in 1990, and no one took the initiative to reopen it until 2014. Gorakhpur has been suffering medical challenges for 40 years, and hundreds have perished as a result of the state and federal governments' incompetence. Today, the state of Uttar Pradesh has reached a milestone of 17 crore vaccines "he stated

"For the people of East UP, today's inauguration programme is a dream come true, which the opposition thought was unachievable. In the previous 30 years, there have been five governments in Uttar Pradesh. Only the BJP government in Gorakhpur had the foresight to build this fertiliser facility "According to Adityanath.

He was speaking at a ceremony in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched development projects worth over Rs 9600 crores on Tuesday. PM Modi visited Gorakhpur to open the fertiliser plant, the AIIMS Gorakhpur, and the ICMR-Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC) Gorakhpur.
