Guwahati: Tremors have been felt once again in South Salmara Mankachar in Assam on Wednesday afternoon. The magnitude of the earthquake has been recorded at 3.6 on the Richter scale. However, no loss of life or property has been reported due to the earthquake. The earthquake reportedly struck at 2.59 pm and its center was recorded within 10 kilometers. As soon as the earthquake struck, people came out of their homes in panic.

Earlier, an earthquake struck Golpara in the state at 8.45 am on July 7, with a magnitude of 5.2 on the Richter scale. Earlier, tremors were felt in Assam and North Bengal on the morning of July 7. Mild tremors were felt in Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Behar in North Bengal. tremors were felt at around 8:45 am on July 7.

Media reports quoted the National Centre of Sysmology as saying that an earthquake struck Golpara in Assam at 8.45 am today, measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale. However, no loss of life or property has been reported in Assam or North Bengal.
