Satara: Two eartquakes of 4.8 and 3.0 intensity were felt in the district on Thursday morning. Officials gave this information. An official of Satara district administration said that no loss of life or property has been reported so far. He said people in some areas came out of their houses when the earthquake was felt.

According to the information received, an official of the Indian Meteorological Department(Meteorological Department) said that the first tremors were felt at 7.47 am in Satara district, about 120 km from Pune, while the second aftershock occurred at 8.27 am. A few days ago, tremors were felt in different parts of the country.

At the same time, the official said that the epicentre of the first and second tremors was recorded below 10 km and five kilometers of land respectively. The Pune-based geologist said people need not be afraid as both earthquakes were of low intensity.
