Itanagar: Tremors struck Pangin in the Arunachal region at around 8.80 am this morning. The National Center for Seismology reported that the magnitude of the earthquake on the reactor scale has been recorded at 4.5. This is the third time since October 1 that tremors have been felt here. Earlier on Monday, an earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale struck Basar in Arunachal Pradesh. Meanwhile, a 4.1 magnitude earthquake struck Basar on October 2. Earlier, tremors of magnitude 4.2 were felt in Basar yesterday i.e. October 4. The state also received tremors of magnitude 4.1 on October 2. The state earthquake has also occurred on September 19.

Why does the earthquake come?

The earth is divided into several layers and there are many types of plates under the ground. These plates are stuck together, but sometimes these plates slip away, causing an earthquake. Sometimes it vibrates more and increases its intensity. In India, some zones have been set up based on the geographical movement in the inner layers of the earth, and in some places, it is more and some places are less.

Based on these possibilities, India has been divided into 5 zones, which indicates where India is most prone to earthquakes. It is most likely to cause earthquakes in Zone-5, a little less than that in Zone 4 and less in Zone 3.
