Hyderabad: Earthquake tremors have been felt in Telangana. According to the National Seismology Centre, an earthquake struck Telangana at around 2.03 pm, with a magnitude of 4.0 on the Richter scale. The epicentre of this earthquake in Telangana was 45 km northeast of Karimnagar. When the earthquake occurred, it spread among the people themselves. Local people came out of their homes.

In the same month, tremors of the earthquake have been felt several times in Karnataka, adjoining Telangana. The frequent earthquakes in South India are being called a common phenomenon. Mild earthquake tremors occur after the monsoon season but they do not convert into major earthquakes. The news of this has been received from a study by the National Geophysical Research Institute. It has been said in this study that the mild earthquakes that occur after the monsoon are called 'Hydroseismicity.' which are felt after heavy rains.

On Friday evening, an earthquake also occurred in the northeastern state of Assam. Earthquake tremors were felt in Guwahati city of the state. According to the National Center for Seismology, the magnitude of the earthquake that struck Guwahati at 6:53 pm was 2.9 on the Richter scale. The epicentre of the earthquake was recorded 74 km west of Guwahati. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 km from the surface. In the same month, tremors of the earthquake have been felt several times in Karnataka, adjoining Telangana. The frequent earthquakes in South India are being called a common phenomenon.
