The early-morning Monday earthquake was felt across Egypt, Cyprus, Lebanon, some of Israel, and the Palestinian territories.

The US, Israel, and other nations have also made similar support offers. The catastrophic earthquake that occurred today in Syria and Turkey deeply worries the US. I have communicated with Turkish officials to let them know that we are prepared to offer any support that may be required. In collaboration with Turkiye, we will continue to closely monitor the situation, White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan tweeted.

The "level 4 alarm" that Turkey has issued requests assistance from outside. As supply aircrafts flew to the damaged area and rescue teams worked overtime, the disaster service reported that 76 people had been killed and 440 injured.
