The epicentre of the earthquake is said to be at a depth of 5 km. There has been panic among the city dwellers since the morning tremors and people are still shocked. Cracks have also been reported in some houses here. However, no major damage has been reported so far.

Earlier, a 2.1 magnitude earthquake was also recorded on September 21. Geologists say tremors are being felt like the epicentre of the earthquake is not very deep. If there is a stir in more depth, these shocks will not be felt.
