Trendy ponytails are every girl's choice, and if you love a good ponytail, but ain't you are bored with the regular style of your ponytail? So switch up the classic ones, pulled back hairstyle, then this zigzag stitch braided pony is what you need. Once you are done with your amazing ponytail, style your self with metallic earrings and solid colour outfit with dark eyeshadow and coral lip colour.
Steps to make the zigzag stitch braided pony:
1. Part you hairs into two from the middle of your scalp. Starting at the point of your hairline above the middle of your left eyebrow, draw a zigzag part with a rattail comb back to the crown of your head. Repeat the same part on the right side, using the right brow as your guide.
2. Comb gel through hair and braid in extensions. comb the gel into the section you just created. Start the braid with your natural hair and add small pieces of extensions in as you go along to achieve a thicker and longer braid, stopping at the crown of your head.
3. Continue parting and braiding even sections until you have a total of five braids from ear to ear. Each section should start wide and become more narrow as you get closer to the crown – like the tip of a pizza slice. The section of hair below your ears should still be left down for now.
4. Gather braids and secure with an elastic. Pull your five braids into a ponytail at the crown of your head and tie with an elastic to keep them out of the way while you work on the back.
5. Section the bottom part of your hair and braid upward. Section the unbraided hair into three parts with a zigzag pattern. Using the same extensions, braid each section upward to meet the ponytail you secured at the top of your head until all of your hair is braided.
6. Seal the ends of your hair. When all the braids are completed, dip them in boiling water to prevent them from unravelling and to make them more flexible.
7. Wrap two braids around the base to secure your ponytail. Grab two of the braids from the bottom of your head and wrap them around all the others to create a higher pony, with one braid stacked on top of the next for a base. Use pins to secure if necessary.
