The Covid period was locked us in our own most loved places. Being stuck or feeling locked into our houses makes us feel anxious about our future and career. A home is always the most sacred place where we live and do our daily activities like chores, office work, cooking, exercising, socializing, and sleeping. This is the new reality that we have to live in four walls and need to accept it sooner for betterment. This year socializing has been limited to our homes and work from home has become the new normal. It is normal to feel trapped or stuck in for a certain period when you feel like going out and having fun in the sun without the fear of catching a virus.
To avoid this saddening feeling of trapped in our homes we need to come up with ideas to make our living space breathable and comfortable in those four walls. To feel motivated and energetic one must start from their surroundings and by turning it into a positive space.
1. Create a cosy corner
Create a cosy corner in your house. Choose any corner in your bedroom, living room, or even your balcony. You can put in cushions, white curtains, fairy lights, plants, tray tables, books, rugs, and blankets.
2. Plant some saplings
The instant mood booster is to surround yourself with more plants in your house. It lifts your spirits up, makes you feel happy, and purifies the air in your house.
3. Create zones in your house
You can minimize your living space and utilize it. Create small zones in your houses like a reading zone, gym, music zone, gardening zone, and an office.
4. Set up a workstation
Set up a workstation as work from home can get frustrating and there are days when you feel lazy.
5. Brighten up your living space
Get vibrant sofas, posters, and paintings to get the look of your living room look cheerful so that it boosts your mood instantly.
