New Delhi: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has presented the Economic Survey in Parliament for the financial year 2019-20. According to this survey, 2.62 crore people have been given new jobs during the six years from 2011-12 to 2017-18. According to the survey, between 2011-12 to 2017-18, 2.62 crore people got jobs in urban and rural areas of the country. This figure belongs to the organized sector.
According to the Economic Survey, a total of 69.03 lakh people have been trained under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana until November 2019. Not only this, during these 6 years the employment of women has increased by 8 percent. According to the survey, the government's focus in terms of employment has been to improve the quality of jobs and increase the jobs of the organized sector in the economy. Under this, the share of regular wage or paid employees increased to 23% in 2017-18 as compared to 18% in 2010-11.

During this period, 2.62 crore people were given jobs in total. Of this, 1.21 crore jobs have been given in rural areas and 1.39 crore jobs have been given in urban areas. According to this, the growth rate in the country's gross domestic product (GDP) in the next financial year i.e. 2020-21 can be between 6 and 6.5%. The Economic Survey has stated that the GDP growth rate will be 5% in the current financial year. Earlier in the advance statistics released by the CSO, an estimate of 5% of the GDP rate was released.
