Mumbai: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) will file a chargesheet in Patiala house court on Saturday in the Sukesh Chandrashekhar case, which is jailed for money laundering. Sukesh Chandrasekhar is accused of extorting Rs 200 crore from Tihar jail. ED is investigating two cases filed by the police in the case. It is being reported that 8 people have been made accused in the chargesheet. These include Sukesh Chandrashekhar, Leen Maria Paul, Deepak Ramdani, Pradeep Ramdani, Advocate Mohan Raj, Arun Muthu, businessman Avtar Singh Kochhar, Kamlesh Kothari.
The chargesheet also reportedly mentions actresses Jacqueline Fernandez and Nora Fatehi. According to ED, Sukesh and Jacqueline's conversation began in January 2021. Sukesh also gave Jacqueline gifts worth Rs 10 crore. These include jewellery, diamond, four Persian cats worth Rs 36 lakh and a horse worth Rs 52 lakh. Sukesh used to talk to Jacqueline over the phone even when he was lodged in Tihar jail. When Sukesh was released from jail on bail, he booked a chartered flight to Chennai and booked a flight for Jacqueline from Mumbai to Delhi, after which the two were staying at a hotel in Chennai.
According to the ED chargesheet, Sukesh spent Rs 8 crore on a private jet. Sukesh also sent money to Jacqueline's relatives. The investigating agency has also questioned people related to Jacqueline in the case. Sukesh has also gifted Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi rs 1 crore including an iPhone and BMW.
