Mumbai: ED takes major action in the Maharashtra Wakf Board land case. The Enforcement Directorate on Thursday raided 7 locations in Pune. The matter pertains to the illegal sale of land belonging to the Wakf Board. The special thing is that the Wakf Board comes under the Ministry of Nawab Malik, a Minister in the Government of Maharashtra. The enforcement directorate's action came at a time when NCP leader and cabinet minister Nawab Malik has been continuously attacking NCB and investigating officer Sameer Wankhede over the  Cruz drugs case.

Recently, Nawab Malik made serious allegations against former CM and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis. Earlier on Thursday, Nawab Malik's son-in-law Sameer Khan sent a legal notice to Devendra Fadnavis over his alleged defamatory remarks. In fact, Fadnavis had told the media that drugs were seized at Malik's son-in-law's house. Now, Samir khan sent a notice against the statement saying that drugs were not found in his house. At the same time, he has sought compensation of Rs.5 crores from Fadnavis.

Nawab Malik, on the other hand, said, "Fadnavis has made allegations against us that the drug was recovered from our house, my daughter has sent him a notice. She has asked him to apologize. If he does not apologize, She will file a defamation case. Earlier, former chief minister Devendra Fadnavis has claimed that Nawab Malik's family had purchased land from the people of the underworld. It was also reported that the land was purchased cheaply from David's people. In response, Malik was addressing a press conference on Wednesday that with Devendra Fadnavis's 'blessings', there was trade-in extortion and counterfeit notes in Maharashtra.
