Eddie Murphy has signed a three-picture contract with Amazon Studios, including a first-look pact. According to media, the agreement calls for the comedian to star in three films for Amazon Studios and to develop original film ideas for Prime Video and the studio, with the possibility of appearing in them.

It also comes at a time when Murphy has been more active in the film industry following a break. The actor received positive reviews for Netflix's 'Dolemite Is My Name,' and is currently working on a fourth 'Beverly Hills Cop' picture.
