New Delhi: The Editors Guild of India has now moved the Supreme Court over the Pegasus espionage case. The guild has also raised the names of several famous and senior journalists in the apex court who reportedly have tapped phones. Earlier, senior journalist N Ram and his associates had also filed a petition in the apex court.

At the same time, some journalists, lawyers, and Rajya Sabha MPs have filed a petition in the Supreme Court appealing to the court-monitored SIT or an independent and impartial investigating agency to investigate the case. So far 5 petitions have reached the apex court on the Pegasus case. This includes petitions from advocate ML Sharma, Rajya Sabha member John Brittas from CPI(M), senior journalists N Ram and Shashi Kumar, activist Paranjoy Thakurta and four others and editors guild.

According to the information, three of these will be listed before a bench of chief justice (CJI) in the apex court on August 5. The rest can also be added to it. Tell you that the Pegasus issue is being raised fiercely in the monsoon session of Parliament. There has been a constant opposition uproar over this. The opposition is accusing the government of spying on it.
