Effective and easy Home remedies to remove Holi colours from all body parts

Holi colours are these days synthetic and can therefore cause several serious harms to the human body including allergies, temporary blindness, cancer, impaired vision, contact dermatitis and others. Though it is not an easy process to educate the masses to use only organic colours, we need to resort to some measures before and after the Holi celebrations so that the colours are washed off the easy way without any stains and that the harmful effects are minimized. Here we are sharling some home remedies to easily removed colours from skin,hair,eyes.

1.Apply mustard oil on face, hands, legs and hair the day before Holi so that the colours can be removed easily. Alternatively, you can also go for sunscreen lotion of SPF 30 or more. It is advised to go for waterproof sunscreen. Especially while playing Holi, this lotion can be applied on the eyelids and on the eyelashe

2. Apply Cream: The other options include cold cream, Vaseline, olive oil or coconut oil for the skin, nail polish for the nails and dental cap for the teeth. During Holi, wear clothes that can cover as much of your body as possible. Wear dark coloured clothes that shall not absorb more colours. Avoid jewellery as it can be lost or damaged.

3. For Eyes: After washing the colours with water, put a few drops of rosewater into your eyes and take rest to relax your eyes. On the day of Holi, wash the eyes with water as many times as possible. However, it is not advisable to rub the eyes which shall cause irritation.

4. For Hair: Chemical colours can lead to splitting of hair if left unwashed for long. Due to the chemicals in colours and the dust outside, the hair is prone to break during Holi. Before Holi, apply a thick layer of oil and also wash the hair thoroughly after Holi. It is also a good idea to protect your hair with a cap or hat.

5. For Face: If a colour is applied on the face by rubbing, it is good to use face wash than soap to remove it. However, you must do this gently so that the washing process does not harm your skin.

6. For Skin: Apply multani metti on your skin and leave for an hour before taking bath. ------- Make a paste of gram flour, milk cream, sweet oil and rosewater and apply it over the skin, leave it for an hour and then rinse the skin. -------- Mix two spoons of lime water in half a bowl of curd and apply on the skin. Take bath in warm water and then apply skin cream.

As much as possible, resort to organic colours as they are safe on the skin. Leaving the skin dry is a bad idea since it can let the colours penetrate deeply. Advise those around you to use more of red or pink colours as they can look attractive as well as can be removed easily. Bright colours such as purple, green, yellow and orange are not only difficult to remove, they can also cause more harm.
