The efforts of the government to bring electric vehicles in the country are continuing. The result of which we often get to see. Recently, Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot in a meeting with Energy Minister has said that subsidy will be given to 1,000 electric buses in Delhi under the New Electric Vehicle Policy of Delhi Government.

The statement issued by the Delhi government states "Establishment of charging infrastructure in Delhi-NCR has also been discussed in the presence of state and central government officials. In which the first phase of this policy is aimed at establishing 200 charging stations in Delhi in the coming year so that a charging station can be set up every 3 km".

Delhi Transport Minister Gehlot also tweeted that "I had a meaningful meeting with the Honorable Energy Minister today". Further, he wrote that "Heartfelt gratitude and thanks for your appreciation on Delhi Electric Vehicle Policy". 

The discussion of Delhi EV policy is now happening all over the world. Gehlot said that this is the result of hard work of the last two years with the advice of experts by the Delhi government. Due to this, the discussion of EV policy of Delhi is all over the world. The only thing to note here is that on 7th August the EV policy of the Delhi government was introduced by CM Arvind Kejriwal. The objective of this policy is to register 5 lakh electric vehicles in Delhi by 2024. Many changes can be made in it.
