The festival of Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated with the end of Ramadan, the holy month of those who believe in Islam. With this, the fasting for 30 days will end. Muslims celebrate this festival with full fervour and enthusiasm.

It is possible for many in India that the date of celebrating Eid will be fixed after the moon will be seen on Saturday. On the same day, if the moon is seen on this day, Eid will be celebrated on Sunday 24 May or else Eid will be celebrated on Monday 25 May. According to the Islamic calendar, Ramadan occurs in the ninth month and is considered very important in the Muslim community.

Muslims fast for 30 days in the holy month of Ramadan. Islamic belief is that Ramadan was declared as the month of prayer after the Quran appeared on Prophet Mohammad in 610 AD. Since then, Muslims keep fasting in remembrance of the Quran for the first time. Not only this, according to many beliefs, this tradition of fasting every year is one of the five fundamental pillars of Islam. The happy month of Ramadan is about 29–30 days, which depends on the appearance of the crescent moon.
