Canada's Transport Ministry has announced that by the end of November, more airports will be able to accept international passenger flights. In a press release, the Ministry stated that the Canadian government's strict vaccine travel requirements, which will be fully implemented by November 30, as well as the issuance of a pan-Canadian proof of vaccination passport, have created opportunities for safe travel.

According to reports, the next step in easing travel restrictions against Covid-19 is to increase the number of Canadian airports that can accept international passengers. International passenger flights can now land at eight additional Canadian airports, including Hamilton, Waterloo, St. John's, Regina, Saskatoon, Kelowna, Abbotsford, and Victoria, as of November 30.

"These airports, in collaboration with the Public Health Agency of Canada, the Canada Border Services Agency, and Transport Canada, are working to put in place the necessary measures to begin safely welcoming international passengers as of November 30," the Ministry said in a statement. The eight airports join the ten airports in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Vancouver, Quebec City, Edmonton, Calgary, and Halifax that currently accept international flights.
