 One of the most awaited movies of the year EK villian returns has already hit the theatre. On the first day of its release, the movie collected in the range of Rs 6.80 cr to 7.20 cr , with the occupancy rising on a show-by-show basis. The start in the morning indicated a start of Rs. 6 crores, but with the mass audience coming on board from noon, the opening day collection has gone up in the range of Rs. 7 crores. Post the trailer release, the industry was expecting an opening in the vicinity of Rs 9 to 10 crore. As per the latest the movie has earned even less than Shamshera but it is a fair start as the budget of Shamshera is very big as compared to Ranbir’s Shamshera. The movie gets the seventh position in terms of the opening collection this year.

A trade analyst also shares about the earning of the film and wrote #EkVillainReturns reaps the benefit of franchise factor, opens better at single screens of mass pockets and Tier-2 centers...  As per the latest Box office report, Ek Villain Returns had a fair start at the box office, especially outside the high-end premium multiplexes. The advance of the film was not started till Wednesday afternoon and it clocked up a healthy 1.50 crore nett in one and a half days and that momentum continued in the morning.

It is a multi-starrer Bollywood film that features John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani and Tara Sutaria has taken a fair start at the box office. Directed by Mohit Suri, the film is a sequel to the 2014 film Ek Villain. The movie pits John's character Bhairav against Gautam, played by Arjun. Ek Villain Returns is not just about the gruesome face-off of the action heroes but also about the two leading ladies adding the fiery quotient to the movie.
