Nepotism has been a much-discussed issue of the country, more prominently the Bollywood. A lot of times, the well-established star kids of the industry are trolled on the social platforms for being the products of nepotism, to which they get offended. A lot of actors who came from outside the industry and rose to fame with their work, like Kangana Ranaut, Rajkumar Rao, and various others have raised their voice against the same.
Recently on the trailer launch of Laila Majnu, renowned producer Ekta Kapoor asserted that she has never been a supporter of Nepotism. She revealed that many times she got calls from politicians, actors, and friends to cast their children in her shows but she politely declined their offer. At times she does not even receive their calls.
She also added that the people who seek acting opportunities from her should stop stalking her, and they must stop asking their politician uncles to call her and request her for such favors.
If they really desire to work with her, they must tape their auditions and send them to her team. If they suit the role, they shall be considered for the same and will be approached by her team.
