While most people who don’t suffer from such problems do not even understand that this could happen in reality.
Most of the victims suffering from it are traumatised that how can it happen to them? They’re angry and confused at the same time. The depression rises in and they can’t get over the fact that they are being betrayed by their closest people that is their own family and friends.
Some just try to hide it, in case if the world comes to know what will happen to their family respect and legacy.
According to a study, about  260,000 older adults experience elder abuse each year out of which only 24 to 25 are reported to police or NGOs.
Mostly these come from the eldest child of the family, such behaviour is totally unacceptable though but it happens.
World Elder Abuse Awareness Day is on June 15.  This day is a concern of the world, which started way back in 2006 and is meant to raise public awareness.  On June 15 day Niagara Falls will be lighted in purple colour to draw attention to this growing problem and to grow the awareness on the issue.

A dew people become afraid and do not trust anyone, they’re deeply traumatised and life becomes hard for them. gRandmothers, aunts and even real relations such as father, mother face such abuse.
They want to get rid of them and just keep them in order to exploit them financially, to keep all their life saving and harras them for the same.
They become violent in case the elder need help and throw all their frustration on the oldies. The victims start to live a miserable life of fear.
They keep bluffing the victim in order to keep all the money to themselves, and they can’t even say no because the children start to shout in front of the neighbours which become very embarrassing.
The old age people become a little hesitant to make a decision thinking about what will happen if they left? and where will they go if they left? Therefore they choose to live a life of suffering.
We need to create awareness that this is a huge issue and everybody has the right to live a peaceful life away from abuse and disrespect.
