New Delhi: A helpline has been launched to help senior citizens in the country. Yes, this all India level toll-free helpline will work to solve the problems of elderly citizens. Under the information received, the Elder Line will provide free information and guidance on pension issues, legal issues of the elderly. Not only that, but it will also help in those emotional lying cases of abuse and provide relief to the homeless elderly.

What's the helpline number for help- This helpline launched for senior citizens can be used by calling from any corner of the country. Let me tell you that by calling the All India Toll-Free Helpline-14567, the elderly can ask for a solution to any of their problems. According to some reports, the population of senior citizens in the country will be about 20 per cent by the coming year 2050, which is expected to be more than 300 million. In fact, this population of senior citizens in the country is more than the population of many countries and people of this age group face various mental, emotional, financial, legal and physical challenges. You all must know that the corona epidemic has aggravated these problems.

Elder line is the result of TATA trust's initiative- Elder line, the result of an initiative of TATA Trust. In fact, TATA trust in 2017 launched this helpline for elderly people through its partner Vijay Vahini Charitable Foundation in Hyderabad in collaboration with the Telangana government. So far, 17 states have opened elder lines in collaboration with TATA Trusts. Talking about the elder helpline, it has received more than 2 lakh calls in the last 4 months. More than 30,000 senior citizens have been helped.
