New Delhi: After the announcement of the dates of the assembly elections to be held in five states, the Election Commission has increased the strictness regarding the election campaign. The Election Commission has ordered the removal of PM Modi's photograph on the corona vaccine certificates in the states where elections are proposed from the Union Health Ministry. The Election Commission has taken this decision in view of the proposed assembly elections in Kerala, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, and Assam. Assembly elections are to be held in these states from March 27 to April 29.
After corona vaccination, a certificate of vaccination is given to the beneficiaries. On these certificates, the Election Commission has ordered the Health Ministry to remove these pictures from the states standing at the mouth of the assembly elections. This order of the Election Commission came after a complaint made by TMC MP Derek O'Brien.
TMC MP had objected to the Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora on the vaccination certificate regarding PM Modi's picture, name, and message. He had said that PM Modi should be banned from taking credit and promoting his name through the government platform Co-win App in this way after the announcement of election methods.
