State Election Commissioner (SEC) Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar will hold a press conference at 10 am on Saturday, his office said. After the High Court verdict on Thursday, the SEC said that the polling for the panchayat elections will be held on February 5, 9, 13 and 17 in four phases.

In this background, the panchayat elections are ready in the first phase of the 11 districts except Chittoor and Guntur districts. The election notification is being prepared on Saturday. It is known that elections to all panchayats in each district in each of the 11 revenue divisions are expected to be held in this phase. On the other hand, the collectors and SP Ready to conduct video conferenceto discuss the preparations for the election. It was reported that the meeting would be between 3 and 5 p.m. on Saturday.

The SEC released a statement of lemon ad that the state election commission was concerned about the panchayat elections on October 28 last year and some people were speaking against the election management. The Commission has the right to take legal action against those who try to block the elections. The Commission is seeking full cooperation from all sections to make the election process successful.
