Seoni: Polling for the three-tier panchayat elections is scheduled to be held on June 25 at 368 and 253 polling booths of Janpad Panchayat, Seoni and Barghat respectively. The polling party left the polytechnic ground on Friday to conclude the elections. The strong room set up at the polytechnic college was distributed to the polling party from Friday morning.

A large number of police teams were present on the occasion and the acquired buses were parked in the ground and the team was dispatched one by one with the election material. The team consists of four polling personnel, a police force and a kotwar. At the same time, health workers from the district hospital were also put on duty for the health of the people here.

Doctors, pharmacists, wardwais, drivers were present in the health team from 6:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to evening. Tehsildar Piyush Dubey said that 368 polling booths have been set up for Janpad Panchayat Seoni for which teams have been dispatched. At the same time, Tehsildar Amit informed that teams have also been dispatched for 253 centres set up for Janpad Panchayat Barghat.
