The election results of five states including Uttar Pradesh and Punjab will be announced today. In the ongoing election tussle for the past two months, the political parties have made a series of attacks on each other, the result of which will be in front of the public today. There is a great deal between the BJP and the SP in Uttar Pradesh, and the Aam Aadmi Party has made a hue and cries to take on the Congress in Punjab.

Apart from these two states, in Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur, the Congress, THE AAP have challenged the BJP and its allies in power. Today i.e. on March 10, the counting of votes is to start from 8 am, which will start coming in some time. The counting of votes started at 6 a.m., there is a stir in all the counting centres. Akhilesh Yadav is the candidate from Karhal seat of Mainpuri in UP, tight security arrangements have been made here.

With this, before the start of voting, the DM of Varanasi has informed that the counting of postal ballots will start from 8 am, after which the counting of EVM votes will take place. Section 144 has been imposed in Varanasi. However, even before the results were declared, there has been a continuous controversy over EVMs in Uttar Pradesh. There has been an uproar in nearby areas including Varanasi ever since EVMs, ballot papers were found at suspicious places.
