The schedule has been released for elections in two seats of the Rajya Sabha in the BJP-ruled state of Haryana. Chaudhary Birendra Singh and Ramkumar Kashyap resigned from these seats. The election will be held on 26 March and the Rajya Sabha Secretariat issued its notification.

For your information, let us tell you that Ramkumar Kashyap is currently an MLA from BJP. He joined the BJP just before the assembly elections. Then he contested from the Indri Vidhan Sabha and won. At the same, Chaudhary Birendra Singh was successful in getting his son Brijendra Singh a Lok Sabha election ticket from the BJP. As soon as the son got the ticket, he announced that he would leave the Rajya Sabha seat. He also resigned after his son's victory in the election.

This way the electoral process will be completed

- On 6 March 2020, the Election Commission will issue a notification.
-Nomination can be made for the Rajya Sabha election by 13 March 2020.
-Nomination will be scrutiny on 16 March 2020.
- Nomination can be withdrawn by 18 March 2020.
- Voting will take place on 26 March 2020. Counting will be done after 5 pm on the same day.
