New Delhi: The Delhi government has begun an exercise to build an electronic city on 55.50 acres of land in Baproula in the country's capital Delhi. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in the capital has entered into a contract with the advisory firm, after which the work towards construction has started. The government aims to complete the work of setting up the electronic city within one and a half to two years. For this, the government will directly spend about 2,500 crore rupees.
Earlier, the Business Knowledge Park (KBI) was to be developed here, but now the government wants skilled and trained youth to be ready to meet the rapidly growing electronic requirements, so the Electronic City is being built. The Kejriwal government plans to build a modern electronic city in the capital along with national and international experts and industry organisations. For this, a contract has been signed with DDC and EPIP Electronic Products Foundation in the past.
The government is soon going to sign agreements with some more companies and organisations, through which investment will be attracted for the design, manufacture, sale, repair and other services of the product.
