Right now the matter was going on to buy Twitter and then withdraw from the deal that he sold millions of shares of Tesla in the meantime. According to media reports, Musk has sold 7.92 million (79 lakh) shares worth $6.88 billion. This information has been revealed by quoting financial filings. The filing shows that Elon Musk transacted these shares between August 5 and August 9.

In such a situation, the question arises why did they sell such a huge amount of shares? In late April this year, Elon Musk said on social media that "there are no plans to sell Tesla in the future".
