Eluru: It is a known fact that the ruling YCP has won a solid victory in the Eluru Corporation elections. YCP leaders, ministers Avanti Srinivas and Ummareddy Venkateshwar responded to the Standing Council elections in this context. Avanti Srinivas said the YCP had 61 corporators, including three independent corporators, in the standing council elections and was issuing a whip this evening on behalf of the YCP. He said the people of the state had given a historic verdict by defeating Jaganmohan Reddy.

Chandrababu commented that it is sad that Naidu has not changed yet. Chandrababu said the election results could not be manipulated and the court results could not be changed. Chandrababu was ridiculed for turning into a paper tiger. Chandrababu is playing dramas to get the MPs to resign in the case of the steel plant. He said that it is not showing in practice.

Ummareddy Venkateshwarlu Dheema said that ten standing council members are sure to win in the corporation elections. He alleged that Chandrababu had fielded TDP candidates to promote cross-voting. He lamented that entering the competition without strength was a testament to the TDP's vile culture. A person called the Leader of the Opposition should cooperate with the government. But Chandrababu has been criticized for obstructing him at every step. Withdrawing the proposals of TDP candidates will increase the respect for Chandrababu. He said it was not a good tradition to be in competition without strength. Ummareddy said that they were not encouraging defections. Hitavu said that Chandrababu should change his way of thinking.
