Just 100 km from the country's capital New Delhi. More than 20 criminals have committed a heinous act in Hodal in far away Haryana. Around 25 boys raled a 23-year-old girl and later dumped her in Badarpur area of Delhi and fled. In fact, the young woman was badly shattered by the deception in the name of friendship, but somehow she courageously reported the case to the police after 9 days.

The victim has registered a complaint with palwal police on May 12. The girl has also informed the police about the names of about 20 to 22 accused in the incident. A police official said the girl's family is currently living in UP. She is originally from Dehradun in Uttarakhand.

Rajesh, police station in-charge of Hasanpur in Palwal, said over phone that the girl had been living in Badarpur area of Delhi. The police station in-charge said the main criminal befriended the girl through social media and promised to marry her. On May 3, the young woman arrived to meet her at the hotel. Rajesh said the accused and the victim had dinner together after which he took her to a tubewell in the village where other criminals met her.

The victim has alleged that they kidnapped her and took her to a nearby forest and gangraped the girl all night. The next morning the criminals took him to Badarpur and fled. According to the police station in-charge, the woman has approached a lawyer and lodged a police complaint nine days after the incident. Rajesh said, "We have arrested the main accused. Efforts are on to nab the other accused involved in the incident. An FIR has already been registered in the case and further investigation is on".
