Khunti: A 10-year-old innocent girl who had gone to a wedding function in Jharkhand's Khunti was gang-raped by six minor youths. The case pertains to Torpa block of Khunti where the incident of gang rape of the girl was carried out. The incident came to light when the girl's mother reached the police station and lodged a complaint of molestation with her daughter. After the victim's mother lodged a case at the police station, the police have acted on it and arrested 5 minor criminals. One criminal is on the run and is still being searched.

It is being said about the case that there was a wedding in the adjoining village on Wednesday. Due to this, some young men were heard from the young woman about something. At night, the girl was returning to her village alone. It was then that six minor students caught hold of her, forcibly took her to a secluded place and gang-raped her. 

After that, the victim reached home and informed her family about the entire incident. After the incident, a panchayat was called in the village trying to resolve it, but things did not work out. The victim's mother approached tapkara police station and lodged a complaint against the culprits. As soon as the news of the case was received, police have arrested 5 criminals from different places. All the criminals are aged between 10-15 years and all are school students.
