Dehradun: In a shameful incident, a girl has accused an army man of raping her on the pretext of marriage. It is alleged that on the pretext of fixing the marriage, he contacted her and had a relationship with her. Now refused to marry. Police have registered a case and started an investigation. A girl, a resident of the Rudrapur area, told the police that she had spoken to Anand Sharma, son of Vijay Sharma, in Bijli Colony of Sitarganj for marriage. He is serving in the Indian Army and is currently posted in Lucknow. Anand visited her in July 2020. Agreeing to the relationship, he took her for a walk. It is alleged that she was raped by giving drugs in cold drinks and also made obscene photos and videos. Kotwal Vikram Rathore said that a complaint has been registered. It is being told that the matter is being investigated.  

Another incident has come to light in Uttarakhand in which raw liquor has proved to be fatal. Seven persons have died after consuming raw liquor in Shivgarh alias Teliwala Phulgarh village under the Pathri police station area. As soon as the information about the case was received, the police-administration team reached the spot. Five villagers died on Saturday after consuming raw liquor, while two villagers died on Friday.
