Guwahati: Union Home Minister Amit Shah's flight had to make an emergency landing at the popular Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati on Wednesday (January 4) night. He was on his way to Agartala, the capital of Tripura, to flag off the BJP's Rath Yatra. But, his plane could not land at Maharaj Bir Bikram Airport due to dense fog. 

Let us inform you that Amit Shah was scheduled to reach Agartala on Wednesday night and flagged off two Rath Yatras in Tripura the next day. Let us inform you that, assembly elections are proposed in Tripura at the beginning of this year. West Tripura Superintendent of Police Shankar Debnath has said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah was supposed to land at MBB airport at around 10 pm on Wednesday, but could not land due to dense fog and poor visibility. They spent the night at Hotel Radisson Blu. Today i.e. Thursday (January 5) morning he will leave for Agartala. 

Amit Shah's plane safely landed at Guwahati airport. Here CM Biswa Sarma welcomed him. Amit Shah will flag off BJP's 'Jan Vishwas Rath Yatra' on Thursday and then hold a public meeting in Dharmanagar. He will also have lunch at a worker's house there.
