USA: Over the past few months, Google Meet just keeps getting better. It lacked the ability to send emoji reactions to liven up everyday video conference calls.
OK, not anymore. The company has introduced emoji reactions for Meet. If you can overlook Google's decision to push back this feature by almost a year then you are in for a treat.
You can now use the new Meet update to send emoji during video calls. During a Meet call, any emoji used will float on the left side of the display.

Additionally, emoji will appear as badges in the upper-left corner of the video tiles, indicating how each user responded. If multiple users send the same message, it will be a mess.
You must click the "Smile" icon in the control bar to use emoji reactions during a Meet call. Next, you can select your skin tone and emoji. Other color changing reactions will automatically use the same skin tone.
Currently only nine reactions are supported, including the Thumbs-Down, Heart, Party Popper, Wave, Joy, Surprise, Thinking, and Cry emoji.

Emoji reactions are provided by Google on Meet for the web, iOS devices, and Meet hardware. In the coming weeks, Android users will have access to it.
Emoji Reaction was introduced by the company in March last year as part of several workspace updates.
Another cool feature Google will add to the Meet app is a dynamic 360-degree background. The background moves with the camera as you move the phone, using information from the phone's gyroscope and orientation.

In the coming weeks, it will become accessible. You will initially see a background with a beach theme. Others called Oasis, Sky City and Mountain Temple would follow.
