Lucknow: An encounter has taken place between police and miscreants for the second consecutive day in Uttar Pradesh's Azamgarh. Three of them have been arrested by the police. It was during the encounter that a miscreant hid in a house. The police cordoned off the house and arrested the miscreant after shooting him. Earlier, a miscreant of the gang who identified people through a gay dating app and called them to a deserted place and robbed them was arrested by the police after shooting them.
Bardah police station in-charge Dharmendra Kumar said that three bike-borne miscreants were stopped for a search near Bhado Turn at 4 pm on Wednesday. The miscreant sitting behind had fled while firing. Two of his associates were arrested. When the police arrived to arrest the absconding gangster, he went and hid in a house in Barra village.
