New Delhi: The arrest of Robert Vadra, son-in-law of Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi, seems to be aggravated by the arrest of NRI businessman CC Thampi. It is alleged that Arms dealer Sanjay Bhandari bought 12, Ellerton House, Bryanston Square in London in 2009, then sold it to Thampi in 2010. According to the ED investigation, the house is actually owned by Robert Vadra and this flat was sold to Thampi on paper to avoid Benami property and investigation. Now the ED is investigating the matter of whom Thampi bought the flat and why. The ED arrested C.C. Thampi on Friday night and produced it in court on Saturday from where remand of three days was taken. After the remand ends today, ED will again try to take Thampi on remand for 7 days.

According to the ED sources, the agency can also summon Robert Vadra for asking face to face with Thampi. Every time Vadra was called as a witness, he was called as a witness, but this time it may be called as an accused.
