The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has registered a case against Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty's husband and industrialist Raj Kundra. And in this way, once again Raj Kundra is in big trouble. The new case registered against him has been registered in the case of the alleged adult racket that came to light last year. The Mumbai Police arrested Raj Kundra on July 20 in this case. Before arresting Raj Kundra in July, the Mumbai Police had arrested five people in this case in February.
In fact, it was alleged that these accused used to make adult films and cheat people by promising to get work in films and web series. The list included new models and actors who were promised roles in films and made adult films from them. During that time, these films were shot in rented bungalows or apartments near Aksa in Mud Island and Malad. During the shoot, the accused used to ask the actresses to shoot for a different script and they were also asked to shoot scenes without clothes. If an actress refused, she was allegedly threatened, and then the cost of the shooting was also demanded. In this case, it is alleged that these unclothed clips were uploaded on an app. These apps were subscription-based.
Subscribers had to pay a certain amount of money to watch the content. When the Mumbai Police investigated the case, it was found that the HotShots app was also used in the case of adult films. Later, investigations revealed that Raj Kundra's firm (Viaan) has entered into an agreement with UK-based firm Kenrin, which has a HotShots app and the firm was owned by a close aide of Raj Kundra in the UK.
The HotShots app was used to upload the adult clip. Reportedly, HotShots was owned by a UK company but was being run by Kundra's company Viaan. Apart from Raj Kundra, his company's IT head Ryan Thorpe was also arrested in this case.
