Mumbai: Former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday. He was summoned 5 times before. According to the report, Deshmukh reached the ED office at 11.40 am this morning. Deshmukh is currently under interrogation. Tasin Sultab, assistant director of the agency, is questioning him. Tell us that Tasin Sultab is also an investigation officer in the case.

Anil Deshmukh is being questioned in the 'recovery case'. In fact, former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh had alleged that Deshmukh had given him a target of recovering Rs 100 crore while he was home minister. In this regard, the Home Minister is being asked, "Who had a share in this recovery, how much was your commission in it?" When did you meet Sachin Waje? What was the discussion with them? BJP leader Kirit Somaiya has taken a dig at Deshmukh's appearance before the ED in the case. He tweeted, 'Anil Deshmukh finally had to appear before the ED! 100 days to account for Rs. 100 crores have to be in the custody of the ED! How much Uddhav Thackeray's share in the recovery and how much Sharad Pawar has to be accounted for! First Jitendra Awad is now Anil Deshmukh and third is Anil Parab.'

In March, Parambir Singh was removed from the post of Mumbai Police Commissioner. He was made the home guard's DG. This was followed by a letter from Parambir Singh which he wrote to CM Thackeray. In the letter, Parambir had claimed that Anil Deshmukh had demanded Rs 100 crore from Sachin Waje every month when he was home minister. Deshmukh was also accused of taking money in exchange for transfers and postings of police officers.
