Amritsar: Bhupinder Singh alias Honey, the arrested nephew of Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi, has confessed to all his crimes on Monday (February 7, 2022). The Enforcement Directorate (ED) today issued a statement saying that Bhupinder Singh has admitted that he received Rs 10 crore in cash in lieu of helping in sand mining-related activities, appointment and transfer of officers in the border state.

According to reports, the ED said that Honey was summoned to appear in person before the agency on February 3 along with some documents. Honey appeared and gave his statement, in which he confessed that he was involved in mining activities, but when the data proving the guilt was kept in front, he started complaining. The investigating agency further said that besides Malikpur in Punjab, mining has also been carried out in Burjhal Das, Barsal, Lalewal, Mandla and Khosa.

The ED had arrested Bhupinder Singh Honey in Jalandhar on February 3 in connection with a money laundering case in illegal sand mining in Punjab. He will remain in the custody of ED till Tuesday i.e. February 8. Let us know that the ED had conducted a raid against Honey and others on January 18. During this time, about 10 crore rupees in cash was seized from Honey's hideout. During the search, statements of Kudratdeep Singh, Bhupinder Singh (Honey)'s father Santokh Singh and Sandeep Kumar were recorded and it was proved that Rs 10 crores recovered belonged to Bhupinder Singh Honey.
