England beat New Zealand by 119 runs on Wednesday to book a place in the semi-finals of the ICC World Cup 2019. More importantly, England have made it to the semi-finals of the World Cup for the first time since 1992, with three teams now in the semi-finals which includes India and Australia first.

Hosts England beat New Zealand by 119 runs in a match played here on Wednesday, July 3. Chasing a victory target of 305 runs set by The Hosts, England were bundled out for 305 in their first innings. In response, the whole New Zealand team went all out on 186 in 45 overs and will still have to wait for a place in the seam final.

With the help of 6 fours in 55 balls, Roy completed his fifty. While Bairstow completed the half with 9 fours in 46 balls. Roy and Bairstow added 123 runs for the first wicket. The partnership was broken when Roy caught Santner on short covers on Neesham's ball. For New Zealand, Bolt, Neesham and Heneri took 2-2 wickets. For England, Markwood took 3 wickets while Archer-Stokes took 1-1.
