New Delhi: Indian cricket has been in the news for a long time about the women's IPL. BCCI chief Sourav Ganguly has rekindled the debate while talking on an online platform. Ganguly said the board is considering a women's IPL, but for this, the number of women players will have to be increased. Former English captain Michael Vaughan has also expressed his opinion on this statement.

Former England captain Michael Vaughan wrote on his Twitter handle that women's IPL should be the priority right now. Michael Vaughan tagged Sourav Ganguly and tweeted, "'Women's IPL should be your priority at this time. Let's take it forward.' Earlier, BCCI chief and former captain Sourav Ganguly had said that the Women's T20 Challenge Cup will be back once again this year. Ganguly said, "We would definitely like to host the women's IPL, in the future, we will also host a big league, we will be able to host it more when the number of women cricketers increases. The Women's T20 Challenge Cup will be held during the IPL playoffs this year.''

Cricket Australia (CA) hosts the Women's Big Bash League every year, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has also included women's cricket in its new format. Many cricket fans have also criticised the BCCI's apathy towards women's cricket. Earlier, many Indian players have also raised the demand for a women's IPL league. The Indian women's team reached the final of the World Cup in the year 2017, in such a situation, there is a dire need in India for such a big tournament for the better experience of the players.
