New Delhi: The Indian women's hockey team, with goals from Navjot Kaur and Gurjit Kaur, held Britain to a draw in their last match of the England tour. The match stopped at 2–2. Navjot (eighth minute) and Gurjit (48th) scored for India, while Elizabeth Neal (55th) and Anna Toman (60th) scored for Britain. With this, the Indian team ended the tour with a draw against a strong team like Britain. India won one of five matches, lost one and played three draws.

Facing defeat in the last match, the Indian team started aggressively and the game continued in the half of the host. The initial attacks benefited from a penalty corner in the eighth minute which Navjot converted into a goal. In the second quarter, the competition between the two teams was equal. Britain got three penalty corners but Indian goalkeeper Savita saved all three.

India retained control of the ball in the third quarter. Amy Tinant, who replaced Heish at halftime, saved Gurjit's goal in the 40th minute. India scored another goal in the 48th minute. However, Britain scored two goals in the last five minutes and put the Indian team's hopes of victory. It was the 200th international match of Indian goalkeeper Savita.
